The state of Uttarakhand is famous for tourist places having significance of all types whether they are aesthetic, adventure or religious. Since this one state is able to offer an eclectic variety of tourist opportunities, one should choose carefully the genre of tourism they want to experience. Accordingly, advisory is in order as the terrain of the state is one of the toughest there is in the country of India. That is because the state is largely situated in the Himalayan mountain ranges. So, the terrain is not only challenging but also hard. There are a lot of unforeseen events that can happen such as landslides which can create tough situations. So, it is advisable for people to observe certain precautions. Our company, Taste of India Travels, observes the utmost precautions so that the safety and security of our customers is always maintained. However, it is also advised that one should take precautionary measures on their own. These precautionary measures are even more important when one undertakes adventure related activities as an adventure can sometimes be unpredictable. Precautions also advised for aesthetic and religious travel, considering the terrain of Uttarakhand. The following measures are advised:-


Advisory


  • If the circumstances are unfavorable such as heavy rainfall, landslides etc. or if there is an official government notification then trekking may be cancelled. Best efforts will be made to convey to you the same, so that itineraries may be planned accordingly.
  • If there is delay from the customer’s side, then there is a high chance that the trek will get cancelled. So, it is requested from you to be on time.
  • Taste of India Travels reserves the right to discontinue, modify any trek, tour and adventure activities without any prior intimation whatsoever.
  • Under no circumstances will a person intoxicated under the influence of alcohol, drugs or other sundry harmful things will be allowed to carry out the trekking activity. The same goes for those not medically cleared, physically or mentally unfit, or any other reason that that the trek leader thinks might be a problem for you. Discount request will not be entertained under such circumstances and the decision of the trek leader or the management will be final.
  • 50% of the amount will have to be paid in advance for confirmation of the booking.
  • The total package cost will not be changed, even if there is a reduction in the number of people in the itinerary.

Cancellation Policy


  • 25% of the cost of the tour will be the cancellation fees, if the cancellation is made 30 days before the date of the commencement of the tour.
  • If cancellations are made between 10-30 days before the commencement date, then 50% of the tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
  • For cancellations made between 0-10 days, before commencement 75% of the total costs will be levied.
  • In case of trekking not taking place because of other reasons such as Government orders or bad weather conditions or other such unforeseen circumstances, every effort will made to provide an alternative adventure activity. However, in this case no refund will be made for the same.

Refund Policy:

It will take 10 business days for the refund amount to be processed or if the customer desires, can be adjusted in other trekking and tour-related activities.
