Traditionally the Yatra (Spiritual Journey) is done from West to East - starting from Yamunotri (adorned with hot springs gushing out nearby and the Yamuna Bai Kund, where devotees may bathe). Then proceeding to Gangotri (legendary, this sacred site needs no introduction. Dignified, the temple stands surrounded by the great peaks and giant pines rich in history. Devotees will be entranced.) Next to Kedarnath (the abode of Lord Shiva, built by the Pandavas, the simple stone shrine also houses one of the 12 sacred Jyotirlingas). Finally to Badrinath (no pilgrimage is complete until one has visited this beautiful and awe-inspiring sacred temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu).
The gateway of the Gods” and ancient and holy town, also one of the sights of the famous Khumb Mela, and where the Ganga enters the plains. In the evening, we can witness the grand Ganga Arthi on the flood-lit ghats.
Today, we’ll drive through Dehradun, capital of Uttarakhand and on to Barkot or Jankichatti.
From Jankichatti it’s a 06 km walk to the Yamunotri shrine. You’ll return to Barkot/Jankichatti.

Today, we’ll drive to Sonprayag, enjoying the scenic views of this extraordinary region.
Here we have the option; we can trek to the shrine (18 km) or we can go by helicopter. In the evening return to your hotel.
Today, we’ll drive to Joshimath through Chopta. On the way you have the opportunity to visit Tunhnath temple (the Arm of Shiva and one of the shrines of the Panch Kedar).
Today, we’ll drive to Badrinath and visit the temple. Later in the evening we will visit Mana village and enjoy some sightseeing around.
Today, we’ll drive to Rudraprayag. There is the confluence of the rivers Alaknanda and Mandakini & visit the beautiful town and temple.
Today, we’ll drive through Devprayag stopping to enjoy the spectacular confluence of the Bhagarati and Alaknanda rivers. Then on to Rishikesh, where we can visit some different ashrams and temples and participate in the Ganga Aarti.
